I’d originally chosen turquoise, but my scanner decided that it likes blue better and altered the colors to its own taste. And before I decided to throw my scanner against the wall, blue started to warm up to me, so I kept it as such. There you have it!

“The first step to achieving peace is to find peace with one’s self. It’s not an easy process because it involves knowing your roots and understanding your place and values. It’s about accepting and embracing who you are- past, present, and future. It’s a difficult balancing act, but I know once I’m there, I can find peace with those around me. When I struggle with the process, I find inspiration and solace with nature- especially in the trees that are both rooted firmly in the earth and yet branching out to the vast sky above, welcoming the universe with open arms.”
I promise a better scan when the piece returns to me!
